Comafri, a company dedicated to the processing and marketing of frozen foods, faced the major challenge of continuing to operate with biomass as an energy source for its industrial boilers, while complying with environmental standards for particulate matter (≤ 30mg/Nm³).
Conventional systems were unable to maintain consistent reductions, especially during critical pollution episodes in the Central Valley, which jeopardized their operational continuity and regulatory compliance.
Filtrovivo Solution
We design an industrial plant biofiltration system adapted to the actual flow rate and temperature of biomass boilers.
Our technology combines thermal extraction, controlled cooling, and live filtration, enabling up to 97% reduction of particulate matter and certified environmental compliance according to Chilean standard DS No. 1/2021.
In addition, the facility incorporated a biophilic façade that communicates sustainability and enhances the plant's image.
